Preston Mill, Gloucestershire
Formally a car park and scruffy mechanics yard, this garden has been designed to complement the natural flow of the stream that runs past it, under the mill.
The planting has been considered to provide a balance of evergreen shrubs, not only to provide interest, structure and colour during the winter months, but also better protection from the road boundary. The style is very loose and soft with a long season of interest, and is relatively low maintenance. Accessed by an oak bridge over the stream, the garden paths flow through the planting, surrounding you with colour, texture and scent.
